AssistQuote is an independent, advertising-supported comparison and referral service. We are not an insurance company, insurance agency, insurance producer, lender or warranty provider, and we cannot bind coverage or provide personalized insurance advice.
We explain how common products and services work, show real price ranges from sources we name, and point out what to ask. We also show providers you may want to explore. They set their own prices, forms and service.
If we don't have a partner for something, we say so. We never send you to a link that isn't ready.
Why we built AssistQuote
You've probably been through this. You need a new roof, better insurance, a loan, or a mover. You fill out one "free quote" form, and suddenly the calls, texts, and emails start and don't stop.
Or you get three quotes that are almost impossible to compare. A price changes once someone gets to your house. A great-looking rate turns out to have a catch buried in the fine print.
I've worked in insurance and home financing, and I've shopped for many of these same services myself. I've seen how quotes are built, how much the details matter, and how hard it can be to figure out what a fair price even looks like.
You shouldn't have to give up your phone number just to find out what something costs.
AssistQuote helps you do the research first. Our guides answer the questions you'd naturally ask before requesting an estimate: What should this cost? What changes the price? What should I ask? What should I watch out for? Then you decide what happens next.

Who writes our guides
Our guides are written and reviewed by our founder, Shannon James Russell, a Certified Financial Education Instructorâ„ , former licensed insurance agent, and mortgage loan originator. Every page names its sources. If we don't have a number we trust, we say so.

How we are paid
Some participating partners compensate us when a visitor clicks, requests information, submits a qualified lead, purchases a plan or binds coverage. That compensation can affect which providers or products appear on the site and where they appear.
