AssistQuote helps people research, understand, and compare options for home services, insurance, home financing, moving, business services, and other major household decisions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.

AssistQuote is a trade name (DBA) of LeadSledge LLC.

Information You Give Us

The information we collect depends on how you use AssistQuote.

When you request options, we may collect information such as:

• ZIP code
• Product or service you are interested in
• Answers about your project, property, coverage needs, financing needs, or other request
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Other information you choose to provide

Each form shows the information it requests.

Our standard forms do not ask you to enter Social Security numbers or bank account information.

Documents you voluntarily upload to My AssistQuote, however, may contain sensitive information that we did not request. See Uploaded Quotes, Estimates and Offers below for more information.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use AssistQuote, we may automatically collect information such as:

• Pages viewed
• Options or features selected
• Session identifiers
• ZIP code entered
• Referring page or website
• Campaign and referral parameters
• Device and browser information
• IP address
• General site activity

Our hosting, security, analytics, and other service providers may also process technical information necessary to operate and protect the site.

Where applicable, we may use technology that records information about how a request form was completed so we can maintain a record of the consent provided with that request.

How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Generate results based on your request
• Show information relevant to the product or service you are researching
• Identify options available in your area
• Display participating AssistQuote partners when applicable
• Display local businesses that may serve your area
• Respond to messages or requests
• Create and operate your My AssistQuote account
• Save requests and businesses you choose to save
• Process bid requests you specifically initiate
• Store and analyze documents you choose to upload
• Help organize and compare quotes, estimates, and offers
• Operate, secure, maintain, and improve AssistQuote
• Measure how people use the site
• Measure referrals and partner activity
• Detect misuse, fraud, or security problems
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We try to collect and use information that is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

AssistQuote Partners and Local Companies

AssistQuote results may contain different types of businesses.

An AssistQuote Partner is a company with which AssistQuote has a commercial or referral relationship and that currently meets our requirements for being displayed as a partner.

A local company may be shown to help with your research even if that business does not have a commercial relationship with AssistQuote.

The appearance of a local company does not necessarily mean AssistQuote has partnered with, endorsed, or independently vetted that business.

AssistQuote may receive compensation when you visit, request information from, or use certain participating partners. We disclose these relationships where applicable.

When We Share Your Information With Businesses

We do not treat every use of AssistQuote as permission to distribute your information.

The information shared depends on the specific action you take and the consent language presented with that action.

When a form specifically requests permission to send your information to one or more businesses, we may provide the information you submitted to the companies identified or described in the consent presented with that form.

Depending on the particular request, these companies may include participating partners, providers, or other businesses offering the product or service you requested.

Some companies may compensate AssistQuote for referrals or leads. Under some state privacy laws, certain transfers of personal information in exchange for compensation may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

Businesses that receive your information may use it under their own privacy policies and may contact you as described in the consent you provided.

My AssistQuote Accounts

Creating a My AssistQuote account is optional.

You do not need an account to view standard AssistQuote results.

If you create an account, we may store:

• Your email address
• Requests you save
• ZIP codes associated with saved requests
• Answers associated with those requests
• Results associated with saved requests
• Businesses you save
• Bid requests you initiate
• Documents you upload
• Quote, estimate, or offer information extracted from those documents
• Comparisons you create
• Account preferences
• Activity necessary to operate and secure your account

Information saved inside My AssistQuote is not automatically sent to businesses merely because you saved it.

Saved Businesses

Saving a business to My AssistQuote does not contact that business and does not send your personal information to it.

For businesses obtained from third-party business-information services, AssistQuote may store basic business information needed to maintain your saved list, such as the business name, address, phone number, and website.

Ratings and review information may be refreshed from the applicable source rather than permanently stored as part of your account.

Requesting Bids

Requesting a bid is different from simply viewing or saving AssistQuote results.

When My AssistQuote allows you to request bids, you choose the participating businesses to which you want to send your request.

Before sending the request, we show you what action you are taking and ask you to authorize the transmission.

We may then send the project or request information and contact information needed for those selected businesses to respond.

We maintain records of bid requests and the consent associated with them.

Selecting or saving a business does not, by itself, authorize AssistQuote to send that business your information.

Uploaded Quotes, Estimates and Offers

My AssistQuote may allow you to upload documents such as:

• Contractor estimates
• Home-service proposals
• Insurance quotes
• Mortgage documents
• Loan Estimates
• Home equity loan offers
• HELOC offers
• Home equity investment or home equity agreement documents
• Other quotes or proposals

Uploaded documents are associated with your My AssistQuote account and are intended to remain private.

Uploading a document does not send that document to an AssistQuote Partner or local business and does not create a quote request, bid request, insurance request, mortgage request, or other lead on your behalf.

Automated Document Analysis

AssistQuote may use automated tools and service providers to process documents you choose to upload.

When you use a document-analysis feature, the document or information extracted from it may be transmitted to service providers that provide document processing, storage, or automated analysis on our behalf.

These tools may help us:

• Extract information from a document
• Organize important terms
• Explain terminology
• Identify information that appears missing or unclear
• Calculate factual differences where appropriate
• Compare multiple documents you upload
• Identify differences in price, coverage, fees, scope, deductibles, rates, or other terms
• Generate questions you may want to ask the provider

For example, AssistQuote may help compare the coverage and deductibles shown on two insurance quotes or organize the rates, APRs, fees, and other terms shown in mortgage or home-equity offers.

AssistQuote's document tools are intended to help you understand and compare information. They do not make the final insurance, mortgage, home-equity, or other financial-product decision for you.

Automated systems can make mistakes. You should review the original document and confirm important terms directly with the applicable provider.

Sensitive Information in Uploaded Documents

Financial, insurance, mortgage, and contractor documents can contain information AssistQuote does not need in order to help you understand or compare them.

Before uploading a document, remove or cover information AssistQuote does not need, such as Social Security numbers, full bank or financial account numbers, passwords, access codes, and other authentication information.

Do not upload information that is not necessary for the comparison or analysis you are requesting.

Documents may also contain policy numbers, loan numbers, account numbers, or other identifiers. When practical, consider removing or covering those details before uploading.

We may use technical measures designed to limit unnecessary exposure of sensitive identifiers when processing documents, but you should not rely on AssistQuote to identify or remove every sensitive item contained in a document.

How Uploaded Documents Are Used

We use uploaded documents to provide the My AssistQuote features you request, operate and secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and maintain the functionality of your account.

We do not use the contents of uploaded quotes, estimates, insurance documents, mortgage documents, or home-equity documents for targeted advertising.

We do not send the contents of uploaded documents to advertising or analytics tools for the purpose of measuring ordinary site activity.

We do not turn an uploaded document into a provider lead or referral unless you separately take an action authorizing us to send information to a provider.

Service providers that process or store documents on our behalf may have access to information as necessary to perform those services and are subject to the terms governing our use of those services.

Service Providers

We use service providers to help operate AssistQuote.

Depending on the services we use, these providers may assist with:

• Website hosting
• Database hosting
• File storage
• Authentication
• Email delivery
• Security
• Analytics and measurement
• Location or business information
• Document processing
• Automated document analysis
• Customer support
• Other technical operations

These companies may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

Cookies, Browser Storage and Measurement

AssistQuote may use cookies, browser storage, session identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember request information, maintain sessions, measure site usage, and attribute referrals or campaigns.

We may also use analytics or advertising measurement technologies.

Where required, we honor applicable privacy choices and opt-out mechanisms.

You can also use your browser settings to control or delete cookies and other browser storage, although some AssistQuote features may not function properly without necessary storage.

Sale, Sharing and Targeted Advertising

Depending on the particular referral, advertising, or partner arrangement, certain disclosures of personal information may qualify as a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws.

Where applicable, you may opt out of these activities.

Exercising a privacy right will not prevent you from using standard AssistQuote research features, except where information is necessary to provide a feature you specifically request.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

These may include the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your personal information
• Access personal information we maintain about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete certain personal information
• Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information
• Opt out of certain sales of personal information
• Opt out of targeted advertising
• Opt out of certain profiling activities
• Appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

We will respond to authenticated requests within the time required by applicable law. For requests covered by the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, that generally means no later than 45 days after receipt, subject to a permitted extension when reasonably necessary.

If we decline a request, we will explain the reason and provide instructions for appealing the decision.

If an appeal covered by Texas law is denied, we will provide information about how to submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Information Already Shared With a Business

Deleting information from AssistQuote does not necessarily delete copies previously provided to a business at your direction or under consent you previously provided.

Once information has been provided to another company, that company's privacy policy and legal obligations govern its copy of the information.

You may need to contact that company directly regarding its records.

Managing My AssistQuote Data

My AssistQuote is designed to give you control over information you choose to save.

Where available, you may:

• Remove saved businesses
• Delete uploaded documents
• Archive requests
• Delete saved requests
• Manage account preferences

Deleting a saved request may also remove associated saved businesses, documents, analyses, or comparisons, depending on how the information is connected to that request.

Certain limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, or documentation of consent.

Closing Your My AssistQuote Account

You may request deletion of your My AssistQuote account by emailing:

Please use a subject such as:

Delete My Account

After verifying the request where necessary, we will delete or de-identify information associated with the account as required by applicable law, subject to information we are permitted or required to retain.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to provide features you choose to use, and to meet applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, consent-recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution needs.

Quote-request information that is not being maintained as part of an active My AssistQuote account may generally be retained for up to 24 months.

Site activity records may generally be retained for up to 24 months.

Information intentionally saved to an active My AssistQuote account may remain available while the account or applicable saved item remains active, unless you delete it or request deletion.

Uploaded documents and their associated analysis may be deleted when you delete the applicable document, request, or account, subject to limited retention where required or permitted for legitimate legal or security purposes.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies you.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information based on the nature of the information we process.

These measures may include access controls, authentication, private storage for account documents, and other security protections appropriate to the service.

No website, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

AssistQuote is intended for adults.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our services involving insurance, mortgage, home equity, contractor bidding, and similar transactions are intended for adults who are legally able to participate in those transactions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AssistQuote changes.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.

If we make a material change to how we use personal information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.

We will not rely on a later Privacy Policy change to retroactively use previously collected information in a materially different way when consent is legally required.
